Strengthening Global Leadership in Aerospace Plastics and Composites
DEMGY Group has expanded its U.S. footprint with the strategic acquisition of TOOL-GAUGE, a manufacturer of precision plastic components for aircraft cabin interiors, according to a company press release. Completed on March 31, this acquisition reinforces DEMGY’s position as a global leader in high-performance plastics and composites for the aerospace industry, according to the release.

TOOL-GAUGE, now renamed DEMGY Pacific, is based in Tacoma, Washington, and serves as a Tier 1 supplier to Boeing and a key Tier 2 supplier to other major aerospace equipment manufacturers. The acquisition also boosts DEMGY Group’s access to the North American aerospace supply chain, particularly for high-value, lightweight plastic and composite materials.

Expanding the Reach of Aerospace-Grade Plastics and Composites
This latest move follows DEMGY’s 2023 acquisition of Germany-based EIS Aircraft, now known as DEMGY EIS, a European leader in aerospace cabin plastics and composite components for Airbus. These acquisitions cement DEMGY’s role as a leading global supplier of structural and interior aircraft parts made from advanced plastics and composites.

TOOL-GAUGE: U.S. Supplier of Aerospace Plastic Components
TOOL-GAUGE brings decades of technical excellence, including mastery of plastic injection molding and the machining of high-performance materials for both civil and military aviation. The company was honored with Boeing’s Silver Performance Excellence Award for nine consecutive years (2010–2019) and maintains certification as a Boeing D1-4426 / BAC5321 Class I and II approved supplier.

DEMGY Group’s Plastics and Composites Strategy
“This acquisition is a strategic step in reinforcing our leadership in high value-added plastics processing for the aerospace and defense industries,” said Pierre-Jean Leduc, CEO of DEMGY Group in the press release. “With DEMGY Pacific, we are accelerating our ability to deliver precision-engineered plastic and composite cabin interior parts directly to Boeing, Airbus, and Tier 1 aerospace suppliers.”

DEMGY Pacific will host two specialized workshops: one focused on the injection molding of high-performance polymers for cabin parts, and another dedicated to the machining of both metal and high-performance polymer and composite components.

Accelerating Synergies Across DEMGY’s Global Network
The press release states that aircraft manufacturers and aerospace suppliers working with DEMGY will benefit from its synergistic network of international subsidiaries—including DEMGY EIS, DEMGY Normandie, DEMGY Atlantique, DEMGY Romania, DEMGY Pacific, and DEMGY Chicago. These sites collaboratively deliver end-to-end plastics and composites solutions through the company’s circular Multiplasturgy® model, which spans 15 areas of expertise from eco-design to recycling.

Mike Walter, President of DEMGY Pacific and DEMGY Chicago, stated in the release, “This expansion strengthens our U.S. footprint and allows us to deploy advanced plastics and composites technologies at scale. The synergies between our teams will enable innovation in injection molding, assembly, and decorative solutions for the aerospace sector.”

Growth Outlook: Aerospace Takes the Lead in DEMGY’s Market Focus
With aerospace now its primary market—overtaking both automotive and medical sectors—DEMGY Group projects sales to exceed €130 million by 2025, with an ambitious target of €200 million by 2030. The group currently operates 10 global facilities and employs 950 people.

As the aerospace sector is expected to grow to $791.78 billion by 2034, DEMGY’s early investments in advanced plastics and composites position it as a key player in the industry’s decarbonization and lightweighting efforts.
